DS Institute has been hired by UNDP Macedonia to carry out a rapid socio-economic assessment of the Macedonian Enhanced NDC targets/measures. The objective is to conduct a detailed analysis to capture the socio-economic impacts and co-benefits of the Macedonian enhanced NDC targets/actions and propose recommendations for balancing social, economic and environmental considerations. Taken into consideration the current global pandemic that has touched every aspects of life of every country, including Macedonia, DS Institute provided recommendations on the country’s economic recovery accelerated with its national climate targets using the local demographic characteristics and vulnerable groups that are directly impacted by the pandemic and by the enhanced NDC measures as point of convergence.
