DS Institute has three main areas of expertise:
(i) applied research on development and poverty reduction issues;
(ii) research on key development problems;
(iii) technical assistance to countries and to the private sector to design and implement development projects and programs.
DS Institute implements its expertise by integrating the following three complementary fields:
· Economic development projects/programs: An effective implementation of well-designed development projects is necessary to achieve successful results in poverty reduction programs. We offer technical assistance for the design, implementation and also the monitoring and evaluation of poverty reduction programs/projects.
· Managing for development results (theory of change): The theory of change combines a focus on achieving results and managing based on results. We ensure that all of our assistance helps our clients to achieve sustainable changes in behaviour of the population.
· Information technology: The computerization of service delivery methods and management of public services brings improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of development programs. We offer technical assistance to support our clients in the design and implementation of secure computerized management systems.
