Dr. Gaston GOHOU, PhD,ISE,ASMC
CEO

Dr. Gaston GOHOU holds a PhD in Economics and a Master’s in International Economics and Econometrics from the University of Maryland at College Park, USA. He also holds a Master’s in Applied Mathematics from the University of Abidjan and a Master’s in Statistics and Applied Economics (ISE) from ENSEA of Abidjan in Cote d’Ivoire.
He is a senior statistician economist, expert on development and poverty issues, with more than 30 years of professional experience. His expertise includes: poverty reduction policies, public finances (MTEF, PER, PEMFAR,…), Managing for development results (MfDR), designing and implementing development projects (logical framework, investment projects, budget support,…), monitoring and evaluation, designing and implementing surveys, data quality evaluation.

Dr. Gohou has worked in more than 35 countries in Africa, Asia, America and Europe. He is fluent in both French and English. He is a co-founder of CESS Institute (www.cessinstitute.org), a research institute, the cofounder of Development from Inside (www.developmentfrominside.org), a charity organization, and the founder of DS Institute (www.dsinstitute.org)
